The illustration comes from the margins of a late medieval manuscript, where a gentle white cat plays a hurdy-gurdy (also known as an organistrum or nyckelharpa) — a string instrument whose sound is produced by a rotating wheel instead of a bow.
Strong magnets ensure the box stays closed even in your project bag or if dropped from a short height.
