I took liberties with the color palette and choice of fabric to make the design more spring-like and bright, filled with a sense of new life.

If you want this Quaker to be as close to the look of historic samplers as possible, go for linen-colored canvas, old paper colors, etc., and tone down the thread palette by half a tone.
