Birds of Color Series

Mystery is the second in my Birds of Color series, exploring the meaning different colors hold. With Mystery, we are exploring the color black. Black often embodies meanings and feelings that are opposites. Black can convey mystery, power, formality or authority. People often wear the color black to boost confidence, to portray elegance and sophistication, but it also represents depression, pessimism, loss and evil. It is, of course, one of the main colors used in Halloween decor, and was the natural color for me to pick for a fall design. There are plenty of other colors going on in this, though, that relieve the black, but still celebrate the season
